Warning: Does Your Premature Ejaculation Spray Contain Benzocaine?

Benzocaine is found in a large percentage of premature ejaculation sprays available on the market, and chances are, it is probably also an ingredient in the spray you are using right now. Please be sure to check the label and the ingredients and avoid any desensitizing sprays that contain Benzocaine.
What is Benzocaine?
Benzocaine is a local anesthetic, which is commonly used as a topical pain reliever. You can also find it in cough drops, throat sprays, and gels or liquids used for teething and canker sores (cold sores). It is also a common ingredient in desensitizing sprays for the penis.
FDA Warns of the Potentially Lethal Side-Effect of Benzocaine
The FDA has been receiving a large influx of reports of methemoglobinemia, which is a potentially life threatening side effect of the drug Benzocaine.
These particular side effects have been reported with all strengths of benzocaine liquids and gels, including a single dose of benzocaine throat spray. The FDA are now advising against the use of benzocaine products on children and adults.
Methemoglobinemia is a condition in which the amount of oxygen in your blood stream is greatly reduced. In severe cases, it can result in death.
Signs and Symptoms of Adverse Reactions to Benzocaine:
- Headache
- Lightheadedness
- Fatigue
- Pale, gray or blue colored skin, lips, and nail beds
- Shortness of breath
- Rapid heart rate
I have even received emails from readers who are personally using sprays containing Benzocaine and they have also reported similar side effects, including temporary discoloration of the penis.
I would like to personally advise anyone who is already using, or considering using premature ejaculation sprays, to avoid them, especially if they contain Benzocaine. It would probably be better to take a more natural approach instead of relying on desensitizing sprays, gels, and the like.
